Love in Winterland

Ally works for the Park Swan hotel chain and signs up for a dating show mainly to promote her employer, even though she has little interest in finding a partner. She becomes one of the last women standing, and when the bachelor, Tanner, chooses her for the hometown date, the trip takes her back to Winterland, the small town where she grew up. There she is reunited with her family and with Brett, the first man she ever loved, and the visit forces her to weigh the life she set out to build against the one she left behind.

Pat Williams directed the film, which came before Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery in the director's filmography. Neal H. Dobrofsky and Tippi Dobrofsky wrote the screenplay, and Italia Ricci plays Ally opposite Chad Michael Murray as Brett. Jack Turner appears as Tanner, with Aliyah O'Brien, Teagan Vincze and Wanda Cannon in supporting roles. The production was made in Canada and the United States by Front Street Pictures for television, on a budget of about 2 million dollars.

The film runs 85 minutes and was released in January 2020. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.4 from roughly 1,700 votes. On TMDB its score is 6.6, based on a much smaller number of 53 votes. Both figures suggest a modest but generally favorable response from the viewers who have seen it.
