Short description
Rob Feld lives alone in the Oregon wilderness, where he hunts truffles with a trained pig and has almost no contact with other people. The only outsider in his life is Amir, a young city trader who buys what Rob finds. When intruders attack Rob and take the pig, he has to leave the forest and return to Portland, a city he clearly knew well in another life, and search for whoever is responsible. The journey forces him back into contact with people and places from his past.
Michael Sarnoski directed and wrote the film, his second feature after That (2012); A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) and The Death of Robin Hood (2026) followed. Nicolas Cage, who also produced, plays Rob, with Alex Wolff as Amir. The supporting cast includes Adam Arkin, Nina Belforte, Gretchen Corbett and Dalene Young, among 31 credited performers and 67 credited crew members. Made for about 3 million dollars, it took roughly 4 million worldwide.
It is a drama with mystery and thriller elements, running 92 minutes, and a co-production between the United Kingdom and the United States.
