The Morning After

After discovering her husband is unfaithful, 45-year-old Louise travels to Corsica for a weekend getaway. Following a passionate night with a stranger, she wakes up to find the man has died. The situation complicates when the man's mother arrives and mistakenly identifies Louise as her son's longtime secret partner. Caught in the misunderstanding, Louise must pretend to be the ideal daughter-in-law for several days while dealing with her new, affectionate but formidable mother-in-law.

This French comedy was directed by Méliane Marcaggi, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Christophe Duthuron. It is the first of two films directed by Marcaggi listed in the records, preceding Les Murmures de la forêt. The movie was produced by Kev Adams and Elisa Soussan and features a cast including Alexandra Lamy, Miou-Miou, Jonathan Zaccaï, and Thomas Dutronc.
