Aquaman

This action and adventure TV movie follows a diver in his twenties living in the Florida Keys who discovers he can breathe underwater. This ability stems from his connection to the hidden civilization of Atlantis, which remains active in the deep ocean and is displeased with how humans treat the environment.

Directed by Greg Beeman, the film arrived in 2006 as his sixth directing credit, following 1999's Horse Sense. The cast features Justin Hartley in the lead role as Arthur Curry, alongside Lou Diamond Phillips, Denise Quiñones, Rick Peters, Ving Rhames, and Adrianne Palicki. Produced by Warner Bros. Television, the project was created as a pilot for a potential spin-off of the series Smallville. It was released on television with a budget of seven million dollars before being distributed via iTunes and later on DVD in 2007.
