Yakuza Princess

Set in the Japanese community of São Paulo, Brazil, this action thriller follows Akemi, a young woman who discovers she is the sole heir to a powerful Yakuza crime syndicate. This revelation puts her life in danger as rival factions seek to eliminate her. Akemi forms an alliance with Shirô, a foreigner with amnesia who believes an ancient samurai sword links their destinies, though doubts arise regarding whether he was actually sent to kill her. Together, they navigate a violent conflict to uncover the truth about her origins and the people responsible for her family's death.

The film was directed by Vicente Amorim, following his previous work on Good and Rio, I Love You. He also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Kimi Howl Lee and Tubaldini Shelling. The movie stars Masumi as Akemi and Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Shirô, supported by a cast that includes Tsuyoshi Ihara, Eijiro Ozaki, Toshiji Takeshima, and Mariko Takai.
