Rumba Therapy

Tony is a middle-aged school bus driver living a solitary life in the provinces. After experiencing a heart attack, he feels a desperate need to find purpose and reconnect with the daughter he abandoned two decades ago. Because he lacks the courage to approach her directly, he secretly enrolls in a dance class she teaches in Paris. While attempting to get to know her gradually, he must struggle through a hobby he dislikes to mend their relationship.

This French comedy was written and directed by Franck Dubosc, appearing as the second film in his directorial career, following Rolling to You. Dubosc also stars as the lead character, Tony, alongside Louna Espinosa, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Marie-Philomène Nga, Catherine Jacob, and Marie Vincent. The production was handled by Gaumont and involved a credited crew of 97 people and a cast of 23.

Since its release in August 2022, the film has received generally positive audience feedback. It holds a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDb based on 1,100 votes and a 6.1/10 on TMDB from 121 votes.
