Wanted Man is an action thriller about a police detective, Travis Johansen, sent into Mexico to find and bring back a witness to a cartel shootout that left several DEA agents dead. What begins as an escort assignment turns into something more dangerous when he learns that the attack was carried out by American forces, leaving him unsure which side he can trust. The film was released in April 2024 and runs 85 minutes.
Dolph Lundgren directs and stars, playing Johansen, a detective whose struggles with brutality have landed him in trouble. The cast includes Christina Villa as the witness Rosa Barranco, alongside Kelsey Grammer, Michael Paré, Roger Cross and Aaron McPherson. Lundgren wrote the screenplay with Frank Valdez and Michael Worth, and produced with Craig Baumgarten and Natalie Burn. It is the fifth film he has directed, following The Russian Specialist, Missionary Man, Icarus and Castle Falls.
The film received a mixed response. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 10 from roughly 3,100 votes, suggesting a largely negative reaction from that audience, while on TMDB it sits at 6.5 out of 10 from about 105 votes, a noticeably warmer but much smaller sample. The gap between the two reflects how differently the film has landed with viewers across platforms.
