12 Hour Shift

Set in Arkansas in 1999, 12 Hour Shift follows Mandy, a nurse with a drug habit who works at a small hospital and has a side arrangement involving the black market organ trade. During a single twelve-hour shift, her cousin Regina loses a valuable package meant for a buyer, and the criminals waiting on it threaten to take Regina's own organs as payment. Regina slips into the hospital to find a replacement, forcing Mandy to deal with the fallout while her shift continues around her. Bodies accumulate as the scheme spins further out of control.

Brea Grant directed and wrote the film, her first feature as director, followed by Torn Hearts in 2022, MLM in 2024 and Grind in 2026. Angela Bettis leads as Mandy, with Chloe Farnworth as Regina, David Arquette as Jefferson, Mick Foley as Nicholas, Kit Williamson as Officer Meyers and Nikea Gamby-Turner as Karen. Arquette also produced alongside Tara Perry and Jordan Wayne Long. The cast numbers 21 credited performers, and the film runs 88 minutes, mixing comedy, crime, horror and thriller elements.

Released in October 2020, the film drew a 6.6 out of 10 from 77 critics' reviews, while audiences were less enthusiastic, with IMDb users giving it 5.5 out of 10 from around 5,700 votes and TMDB users also averaging 5.5 out of 10, from roughly 250 ratings.
