Daisuke Honda works as a war photographer in Vietnam, and on the flight home to Japan he meets Yuriko Sawanouchi, a flight attendant. The two drink together at a Tokyo bar, and Daisuke is drawn into protecting her when assassins come after her. The killers are a team of stylish young women trained as ninjas. When Yuriko is kidnapped, Daisuke goes after the people holding her and learns that a group of foreigners is searching for a treasure from the Second World War, gold that Yuriko's father hid on an island. The chase for that fortune drives the rest of the story.
Black Tight Killers is a 1966 Japanese action, crime and thriller film from Nikkatsu Corporation, running 87 minutes. Yasuharu Hasebe directed it from a screenplay by Ryuzo Nakanishi and Michio Tsuzuki, and it was the first film in the directing career listed chronologically, ahead of Massacre Gun in 1967. Akira Kobayashi plays Daisuke Hondo, with Chieko Matsubara as Yoriko Sawanouchi and supporting turns from Akemi Kita, Mieko Nishio, Bokuzen Hidari and Hiroshi Nihon'yanagi.
On IMDb the film holds a rating of 6.8 from 560 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.9 from a much smaller number of 17 votes. The similar scores suggest a settled, mildly favourable reputation among those who have seen it, with the far larger IMDb sample giving the clearer picture.
