Magic Cop

A former police officer with expertise in Taoist magic and geomancy is called to Hong Kong to assist with a series of unusual murders. While working with two local detectives, he discovers that a woman believed to have died during a drug-related police chase had actually passed away days prior. This investigation leads the group into a conflict with a powerful sorceress and a drug lord who utilizes black magic.

Directed by Stephen Tung Wai, this 1990 production is the first of two films he directed before Contract Killer. The movie was produced by Eric Tsang and Lam Ching-Ying, the latter of whom stars as Uncle Feng. The cast also includes Wilson Lam Chun-Yin, Michael Miu Kiu-Wai, and Michiko Nishiwaki. The film blends elements of action, comedy, crime, fantasy, and horror over its 88-minute runtime.
