Four Souls of Coyote

This Hungarian animated film follows Native American youth as they protest the construction of a corporate oil pipeline on their ancestral lands. To remind the younger generation of their role in the natural world, an elder shares an ancient creation myth. This story describes a time when an old man shaped the world from mud, depicting humans as a small part of a larger cycle rather than the masters of creation. The narrative emphasizes the importance of living in harmony with the environment to prevent ecological destruction.

Directed by Áron Gauder, this production followed his 2004 film The District. The screenplay was written by Gauder and Géza Bereményi. The voice cast features János Papp, Péter Bozsó, Tamás Széles, Pikali Gerda, Bálint Vida, and Sára Vida. Produced by Les Batelières Productions and Cinemon Entertainment, the film blends action, adventure, and drama across a 106-minute runtime.

The film has received generally positive feedback from viewers. It holds a rating of 7.1/10 on IMDb based on 1,000 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.7/10 from 16 votes.
