Peter and Emma have never met, but they have just been through the same thing: within the same weekend, each was dumped by the person they assumed they would marry and settle down with. Peter lost Anne, Emma lost Noah. When the two cross paths and discover that their former partners have already moved on into new relationships, they form an alliance. Their plan is to sabotage those new romances, working on each other's ex, so that Anne and Noah will come back to them.
Jason Orley directed the film, his second feature after Big Time Adolescence, working from a screenplay by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Charlie Day and Jenny Slate play Peter and Emma, with Scott Eastwood and Gina Rodriguez as the exes they are trying to win back, and Manny Jacinto and Clark Backo among the supporting cast. The production was handled by The Safran Company, Amazon Studios, Big Indie Pictures and The Walk-Up Company, and the film runs 116 minutes.
Reception was moderate. On IMDb it holds a 6.5 rating from roughly 27,000 votes, and on TMDB a 6.3 from around 386 votes. The two audience scores sit close together, indicating a broadly similar response from viewers across both platforms rather than a sharply divided one.
