Mohawk is a 1956 American Western set at a remote army outpost on the frontier. Jonathan Adams, an artist attached to the garrison, is meant to record the life and customs of the Mohawk people, and he becomes closely involved with Onida, the daughter of a Mohawk chief. His position grows complicated because two other women are also in his life: Cynthia Stanhope, a storekeeper's daughter, and Greta Jones, his fiancée, who has travelled west to join him. Meanwhile, a vengeful settler named Butler works to set the soldiers and the Mohawk warriors against each other, and the resulting tension threatens everyone at the post.
The film was directed by Kurt Neumann, placing it between Carnival Story (1954) and The Fly (1958) in his filmography. Maurice Geraghty and Milton Krims wrote the screenplay, and Edward L. Alperson produced it through Edward L. Alperson Productions. Scott Brady plays Jonathan Adams, with Rita Gam as Onida, Neville Brand as Rokhawah, Lori Nelson as Cynthia Stanhope, Allison Hayes as Greta Jones and John Hoyt as Butler, among a credited cast of 25. Running 79 minutes, it received modest audience ratings: 5.3 out of 10 on IMDb from 678 votes and 5.6 out of 10 on TMDB from 17 votes.
