Dangerous Lies

Katie Franklin loses her waitressing job, and she and her husband Adam take a position as caretaker for Leonard, a wealthy elderly man living in a large, sparsely furnished Chicago estate. Katie and Leonard form a bond, and when he dies unexpectedly, he names her as his sole heir. The inheritance draws Katie and Adam into a tangle of deception and murder, and Katie comes to suspect that those closest to her may want something from her.

Michael M. Scott directed the thriller from a screenplay by David Golden, with Margret H. Huddleston and Stephanie Slack producing. It is the tenth of the eleven features Scott has directed, coming between Secret Millionaire and If I Run. Camila Mendes plays Katie, Jessie T. Usher plays Adam, Elliott Gould plays Leonard, and Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet and Sasha Alexander appear as Julia Byron Lee, Mickey Hayden and Detective Chesler.
