Extraction 2

Extraction 2 returns to Tyler Rake, the mercenary who survived the events of the first film. Still recovering, he accepts a new assignment: extracting the family of a jailed and ruthless gangster from captivity. Chris Hemsworth plays Rake, with Golshifteh Farahani as Nik Khan, Adam Bessa as Yaz Khan, and Tornike Gogrichiani, Tornike Bziava and Tinatin Dalakishvili among the cast.

Sam Hargrave directs, following his 2020 debut Extraction and preceding Matchbox the Movie (2026). Joe Russo wrote the screenplay, and Anthony Russo, Joe Russo and Hemsworth produced. The action, crime and thriller film runs 122 minutes and was made for a reported 65 million dollars by AGBO, TGIM Films, Filmhaus Films and Wild State, with Austria and the United States among its production countries.

Audiences received the film positively. It holds a 7 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 172,000 votes, and a 7.4 out of 10 on TMDB from about 3,060 votes. A film critics' rating of 6.6 out of 10 from 137 reviews places professional appraisal somewhat below the audience scores. The large gap in vote counts between the two audience platforms indicates a much wider viewership on IMDb, while the smaller TMDB sample is similarly favourable. The film credits 28 cast members and 105 crew members.
