This documentary follows filmmaker Judith Helfand, who becomes a single mother at age 50 shortly after caring for her terminally ill mother. As she prepares her home for the arrival of her daughter, she must navigate the emotional and physical burden of her parents' belongings. Helfand confronts the challenge of clearing out dozens of boxes of family heirlooms from a room intended for the baby while reflecting on her mother's wishes regarding her health and the reality of her own age.
