Short description
No Man of God dramatizes the relationship between FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier and the convicted serial killer Ted Bundy. As part of the bureau's early efforts to build psychological profiles of offenders, Hagmaier begins visiting Bundy on Florida's death row in the mid-1980s, hoping to draw out details of crimes Bundy had long refused to discuss. Over several years of conversations, the two men develop a bond that grows increasingly complicated, with Bundy's charm and evasions testing the agent's ability to stay detached.
The film is directed by Amber Sealey, whose second feature, Out of My Mind, followed in 2024. C. Robert Cargill wrote the screenplay, and Elijah Wood, who also produced, plays Hagmaier opposite Luke Kirby as Bundy. The supporting cast includes Aleksa Palladino, Robert Patrick, W. Earl Brown and Gilbert Owuor, among 25 credited performers. Made by XYZ Films, SpectreVision and Company X, the production is a contained, dialogue-driven piece built around its two leads.
