A young woman travels back to the small town she grew up in, carrying a plan she has kept to herself: she intends to kill the father who made her childhood and her adult life miserable. Before she can act, she learns that he was murdered the day before she arrived, and the chance she came for is already gone. Determined to find out who was responsible, she begins asking questions around a community that does not welcome them, and her search puts her at odds with the local sheriff and with people who would rather she left. What she turns up goes beyond one man's death, pointing to a family inheritance more dangerous than she had expected.
Chad Faust directed and wrote the screenplay, and also appears in the cast as Charmer. It is the first of two features he has directed, followed by Ballistic in 2026. Bella Thorne plays the central role of Girl, with Mickey Rourke as the Sheriff, Glen Gould as the Barkeep, Elizabeth Saunders as Mama and Lanette Ware as Betty. Thomas Michael, Shayne Putzlocher and Sara Shaak produced the Canadian-American thriller, which runs 90 minutes.
Reception was middling. On IMDb the film holds 4.9 out of 10 across roughly 4,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6 out of 10 from 237 votes. A critics' rating of 5.1 out of 10 from 29 reviews places it close to the audience scores, suggesting broad agreement rather than a sharp divide.
