Ach Egon!

Waldemar Weber, a pediatrician, has kept the existence of an adopted son from his first marriage a secret from his young wife, Henny. Conflict arises when the son, Egon, announces a visit that coincides with the couple's first wedding anniversary. Despite Waldemar's desperate attempts to prevent the meeting, Egon arrives at the house. The situation becomes more complicated when it is revealed that Egon is a monkey trainer who has brought several chimpanzees with him, forcing Waldemar to find ways to hide the animals from his suspicious wife.

This German comedy was directed by Wolfgang Schleif. It is the second film in a sequence of three that includes Holidays in Tyrol from 1956 and Eheinstitut Aurora from 1962. The screenplay was written by Gustav Kampendonk and produced by Kurt Ulrich. The main cast features Gunther Philipp as Dr. Waldemar Weber, Corny Collins as Henny Weber, and Heinz Erhardt as Egon Kummer, appearing alongside Adrian Hoven, Grethe Weiser, and Ruth Stephan.
