Short description
In 1988, American video game salesman Henk Rogers discovers the video game Tetris. When he sets out to bring the game to the world, he enters a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the Iron Curtain.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film is dedicated to the memory of Dmitry Pazhitnov – the son of Alexei Pazhitnov, who died in 2017.
- At the beginning of the film, Taron Egerton's character says he sees "Tetris" figures even in his dreams. This is a real phenomenon known as the "Tetris effect." The term was coined in 1994 by journalist Jeffrey Goldsmith.
- Screenwriter Noah Pink intentionally added profanity to the script to prevent the project from receiving a children's rating.
- The real Hank Rogers and Alexei Pazhitnov reviewed the script. Rogers stated that the entire story was too embellished.
