Alley Cats Strike is a Disney television film about a group of teenagers who spend their time at a bowling alley owned by the father of one of them. They like swing music and retro style, and they are not among the popular students at their school. When a competition between schools comes up, they end up representing their school, and the rivalry becomes serious. Alex Thompson and Todd McLemore, two students with very different styles who do not get along, are pushed into working together despite their differences, and the team has to find a way to function as a group.
The film is a youth comedy-drama directed by Rod Daniel, whose earlier work includes Teen Wolf, K-9 and Beethoven's 2nd, and it was released in 2000, followed by Home Alone 4 in 2002. Gregory K. Pincus wrote the screenplay, and Christopher Morgan produced. Kyle Schmid plays Alex, Robert Ri'chard plays Todd, and Kaley Cuoco appears as Elisa Bowers, with Joey Wilcots, Matt McCoy and Hardee T. Lineham among the credited cast of 28.
On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6 out of 10 from around 2,900 votes, and on TMDB it has a rating of 6 out of 10 from 63 votes, indicating a modest but consistent response from viewers.
