Mom is a horror thriller centered on Meredith, a mother struggling with postnatal depression. Feeling disconnected from her husband, Jared, she experiences frightening visions that signal an approaching family tragedy. Together with Jared and their son, Alex, the family must face a series of terrifying events.
The film was directed by Adam O'Brien, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Philip Kalin-Hajdu. It follows O'Brien's previous projects, including Zombieworld 2, Invoking 4, and Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker, and precedes his 2026 project Bury the Devil. The production was a joint effort between Canada and the United States, produced by Delirium Pictures and Kinetic Film Group. The cast features Emily Hampshire in the lead role, alongside François Arnaud, Christian Convery, Erika Rosenbaum, Tristan D. Lalla, and Mariah Inger.
Audience reception for the film has been mixed. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 4.6/10 based on 595 votes, while on TMDB, it has a slightly higher score of 5.8/10 from 38 votes.
