A Balance

Yuko is a documentary filmmaker who examines a series of suicides following school violence that occurred three years prior. At the time of the incident, Yuko was teaching at a preparatory school run by her father. As she develops her project, she uncovers a hidden truth that forces her to confront her own morals and involves her deeply in the lives of the affected families.

This Japanese drama was written and directed by Yujiro Harumoto, who also served as a producer alongside Sunao Katabuchi and Tetsuya Matsushima. The film features a cast led by Kumi Takiuchi in the role of Yuko Kinoshita, appearing with Ken Mitsuishi, Yumi Kawai, and Masahiro Umeda.
