Butterfly on the Windowpane

Set in a remote village in Nepal, this drama follows the relationship between thirteen-year-old Bidya and her nine-year-old brother, Basanta. While Bidya is a studious girl preparing for her future education, her younger brother often distracts her with various antics. The story centers on Basanta's efforts to restore his sister's hope after she begins to give up on her dreams.

Directed and written by Sujit Bidari, this production followed his 2013 film Savitri. The movie was produced by Sujit Bidari, Akash Poudel, and Prabin Syangbo through Local Cinema, Icefall Productions, and Arko Film. The main cast features Kanchan Chimariya as Bidya and Dinesh Khatri as Basanta, with Siru Bista playing the mother. Other cast members include Bisha Chamling Rai, Raj Thapa, and Umesh Shrestha.
