Plan B

Plan B is a comedy about two teenage best friends in South Dakota. Sunny is a high-achieving student who follows the rules; Lupe is her more relaxed, freewheeling friend. After a disappointing first sexual experience, Sunny needs emergency contraception, and the pair set out to find it. The catch is that they have only about a day in which to do so, and their search takes them across the American heartland, where the pill proves harder to obtain than they expected. The film follows their race against the clock and the complications that arise along the way.

Natalie Morales directed the film, working from a screenplay by Prathi Srinivasan and Joshua Levy. It was produced by Jeremy Garelick, Will Phelps and Matt Lottman for American High, LD Entertainment and Counterbalance Entertainment. Kuhoo Verma plays Sunny and Victoria Moroles plays Lupe, with Michael Provost, Myha'la, Jolly Abraham and Mason Cook among the supporting cast.

Plan B runs 108 minutes and was released in June 2021. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.7 from roughly 5,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from about 112 votes. A critics' rating of 7.2 from 57 reviews is higher than either audience score, indicating that reviewers responded to the film more warmly than general viewers did.
