The Accusation

The Accusation follows the collapse of the Farel family, a prominent French couple consisting of a well-known pundit and a feminist essayist. Their son, a student at an American university, visits Paris and spends time with Mila, the daughter of his mother's current partner. After attending a party together, Mila accuses him of rape. This allegation destroys the family's stability and triggers a complex legal and media process that pits conflicting versions of the truth against one another.

Directed by Yvan Attal, the film follows his earlier works New York, I Love You and Le Brio, and precedes Breaking Point. Attal also produced the movie and co-wrote the screenplay with Yaël Langmann. The cast features Ben Attal as Alexandre Farel, Suzanne Jouannet as Mila Wizman, Charlotte Gainsbourg as Claire Farel, Mathieu Kassovitz as Prof. Adam Wizman, and Pierre Arditi as Jean Farel.
