Black Crab

In a world locked in endless winter, a civil war has left civilization on the brink. A former professional figure skater turned soldier, Caroline Edh, is recruited for a mission across a frozen sea: a small team of soldiers must carry a secret package over the ice, cargo that could bring the fighting to an end. Caroline's reasons for accepting are personal as well as military, since ending the war is also the only way she can reach her daughter.

The film is a Swedish production directed by Adam Berg, who wrote the screenplay with Pelle Rådström, and it stars Noomi Rapace as Caroline, with Jakob Oftebro, Dar Salim, Erik Enge, Ardalan Esmaili and Aliette Opheim among the soldiers in the group. It runs 109 minutes and was released in March 2022.

Audience response has been moderate rather than enthusiastic. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from roughly 29,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from around 960 votes. A critics' rating of 5.9 from 30 reviews places it close to the audience scores on both platforms, suggesting broad agreement about the film's merits rather than a sharp divide between reviewers and viewers.
