Sleep Tight

César works as the concierge of an apartment building in Barcelona, a job he would not trade for any other because it gives him access to the private lives of the residents. He learns their habits, weaknesses and secrets without any of them noticing him, and he uses what he knows to cause them pain. When a cheerful young woman named Clara moves into the building, her constant happiness becomes intolerable to him, and she turns into the target of a personal obsession. The film is a horror thriller about a man who hides his cruelty behind the routines of an ordinary job.

Jaume Balagueró directed the film, which followed [REC]² (2009) in his filmography and was written by Alberto Marini, with Julio Fernández producing. Luis Tosar plays César, and Marta Etura plays Clara; Alberto San Juan, Petra Martínez, Iris Almeida Molina and Carlos Lasarte appear in supporting roles. The production had a budget of 5 million USD and took about 9 million USD worldwide.
