9 Bullets

9 Bullets is an action thriller about Gypsy Moon, a former burlesque dancer who has moved on to writing. Her plans for a fresh start are interrupted when Sam, a boy who lives nearby, witnesses the murder of his parents and hides in her home. Gypsy takes it upon herself to get the child to his uncle in South Dakota. Pursuing them is Jack, a local crime boss with whom Gypsy shares a long personal history and who is connected to the killing of Sam's family.

The film is directed and written by Gigi Gaston, with Cassian Elwes, Wendy Benge and Howard C. Deshong producing for Screen Media Films, Foresight Entertainment and Pop Films. Lena Headey plays Gypsy Moon, and Sam Worthington appears as Jack. The supporting cast includes Barbara Hershey, La La Anthony and Cam Gigandet, while Dean Scott Vazquez plays the boy Sam. Made on a budget of 3 million dollars, the film runs 96 minutes and was released in April 2022.

Audience response has been limited. On IMDb it holds a rating of 3.3 out of 10 from 86 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 5.3 out of 10 from 152 votes. Both the scores and the modest number of votes point to a small viewership and a largely unfavorable reception among those who have seen it.
