Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness

Hopper is a hybrid chicken-rabbit and the adopted son of a famous adventurer. Despite his clumsiness, he dreams of becoming a great explorer. When his uncle escapes from prison to find a powerful artifact known as the Hamster of Darkness, Hopper sets out on a quest to stop him. Accompanied by a sarcastic turtle and a skunk skilled in martial arts, he travels through various lands to prevent his uncle from seizing the object and seizing power.

The film was co-directed by Ben Stassen and Benjamin Mousquet. For Stassen, this was his ninth feature film, following works such as The Son of Bigfoot and The Queen's Corgi. For Mousquet, it served as his directorial debut, preceding his 2025 project, Chickenhare and the Secret of the Groundhog. The voice cast includes Jordan Tartakow, Joe Ochman, Laila Berzins, and Danny Fehsenfeld.

Produced as a collaboration between companies in Belgium, France, and the United States, the movie had a budget of 20 million USD. It earned 11 million USD at the worldwide box office, meaning it did not recoup its production costs.
