Intrusion

Intrusion follows Meera and Henry Parsons, a married couple who relocate to a small town in New Mexico. Shortly after settling into their new home, an intruder breaks in. Meera is left traumatized by the ordeal, and in its aftermath she grows convinced that the people around her are not who they claim to be. Her distrust of neighbors and acquaintances deepens as she tries to make sense of what happened. The film is a psychological thriller built around that unease rather than around action.

Adam Salky directed, working from a screenplay by Chris Sparling. It is the second feature Salky directed, arriving twelve years after his debut, Dare. Freida Pinto plays Meera and Logan Marshall-Green plays Henry, with Robert John Burke as Detective Steven Morse and supporting turns from Megan Elisabeth Kelly, Sarah Minnich and Hayes Hargrove. The production was handled by EMJAG Productions, Creator Media Entertainment and Sea Smoke Entertainment, with Russell Hollander, Alexandra Milchan and Matthew Myers producing.

Reception was modest. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.3 from roughly 25,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6 out of 10 from a much smaller base of 779 votes, suggesting a limited audience beyond the initial release. A critics' rating of 4.3 out of 10 from 27 reviews places professional assessments below the audience scores. Running 93 minutes, the film was released in September 2021.
