DC Showcase - Constantine: The House of Mystery

John Constantine wakes up inside the House of Mystery with no memory of how he arrived. The house is a shifting labyrinth whose rooms rearrange themselves, and escape seems impossible for anyone trapped within. Zatanna and other familiar faces are present, but each encounter turns violent when they transform into demons and tear him apart, leaving him to relive the ordeal again and again. The short film follows his attempts to understand the house's rules and find a way out of the cycle.

The film is a DC Showcase animated short directed by Matt Peters, written by Ernie Altbacker and produced by Rick Morales and Jim Krieg, running 27 minutes. It sits tenth in the chronological list of Peters' directed features, arriving after Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons and the earlier Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, with which it shares its continuity. Matt Ryan voices Constantine, reprising the role, alongside Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Ray Chase, Robin Atkin Downes, Grey DeLisle and Damian O'Hare in multiple parts.

It is a US production from DC Entertainment, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, released in May 2022. On IMDb it holds 6.3 out of 10 from around 3,500 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.8 from roughly 195 votes, a small sample that rates the short somewhat more warmly than the larger IMDb audience does.
