Dark Web: Cicada 3301

A skilled hacker named Connor discovers an online scavenger hunt known as Cicada 3301, which may serve as a recruitment process for a secret organization. Along with a librarian named Gwen and an art expert named Avi, Connor searches for physical clues in locations ranging from old libraries to street art sites. While they attempt to solve the puzzles, they are pursued by aggressive NSA agents who are also hunting for the creators of the contest.

The film was directed by Alan Ritchson, who also co-wrote the screenplay and produced the project. This was the first of two films he directed, followed by The Unelected Statesman in 2026. The cast features Jack Kesy as Connor Black, Conor Leslie as Gwen, and Ron Funches as Avi, with Ritchson appearing as Agent Carver alongside Andreas Apergis and Kristen Holden-Ried.
