The Killer

The Killer is a crime thriller about a professional assassin whose carefully ordered life is thrown into disarray when a job goes wrong. Based in Paris and accustomed to long, uneventful hours of surveillance, he suddenly has to improvise an escape after a fatal misstep. What follows is an international pursuit in which he clashes with the people who hired him and with his own disciplined instincts, while insisting that his response is not personal.

David Fincher directed the film, the twelfth of thirteen features in his filmography in chronological order, following Mank. Andrew Kevin Walker wrote the screenplay, and Ceán Chaffin, William Doyle and Peter Mavromates produced. Michael Fassbender plays the central assassin, with Tilda Swinton, Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Kerry O'Malley and Sophie Charlotte in supporting roles. The production credits list 48 cast members and 151 crew.
