Parasite Dolls

Set in the futuristic world of Bubblegum Crisis, this film follows a specialized secret division of the police known as the Branch. Their mission is to maintain order between humans and Boomers, humanoid androids that have integrated into all levels of society. The story centers on Lieutenant Buzz, who must navigate his own biases while partnering with a Boomer officer named Michaelson. Together, they work to protect the public from criminal elements and modified androids that have become dangerous predators.

The production was a Japanese effort involving companies such as Anime International Company, THE KLOCKWORX, and IMAGICA. The film was directed by a team including Satoshi Saga, who previously directed Armitage III: Poly Matrix in 1996, and Naoyuki Yoshinaga, who later directed Gurren Lagann the Movie: The Lights in the Sky Are Stars in 2009, along with Kazuto Nakazawa and Yasuhiro Geshi. The voice cast features Kazuhiko Inoue as Buzz and Akemi Okamura as Michaelson, supported by Masaru Ikeda, Somei Uchida, Kikuko Inoue, and Toshio Furukawa.
