Senior Year

Stephanie Conway is a high school cheerleader with a clear plan for her senior year: stay at the top of the social order and take the prom queen crown. A stunt goes wrong during a competition and she falls, leaving her in a coma. She wakes up two decades later, now 37, with her teenage outlook intact, and decides to return to the school she once ruled and finish the senior year she never completed. The students and the school culture have moved on, and her old classmates have grown up, so chasing her old status means reckoning with a life that carried on without her.

The film is a comedy directed by Alex Hardcastle, written by Andrew Knauer, Arthur Pielli and Brandon Scott Jones, and produced through Broken Road Productions, Paramount Players and Camp Sugar. Rebel Wilson plays Stephanie, with Sam Richardson, Zoe Chao, Mary Holland, Justin Hartley and Chris Parnell among the cast. It was released in May 2022 and runs 114 minutes.

Audience response has been mixed: on IMDb it holds 5.5 out of 10 from roughly 48,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.9 out of 10 from a much smaller pool of around 950. A critics' rating of 4.3 out of 10 across 65 reviews places professional opinion below even the modest audience scores.
