The Munsters

The Munsters follows a monster family whose members include Herman, a green, oversized man-made creation, and Lily, a vampire several centuries old. When Lily falls for Herman, her father disapproves and works to steer her toward a future that leaves no room for her awkward new suitor. Much of the story unfolds around the family's life in Transylvania before they relocate to an American suburb, where their neighbors do not all welcome them. The film is a reboot of the 1960s television series about the same family of monsters.

Rob Zombie directed, wrote and produced the film, the tenth feature he directed, arriving after 3 from Hell. Jeff Daniel Phillips plays Herman, with Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily, Daniel Roebuck as her father, Jorge Garcia as Floop, Richard Brake as Dr. Wolfgang, and Cassandra Peterson as Barbara Carr. It was produced partly in Hungary.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 4.5 from around 13,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 5.6 from a much smaller vote count of 276, so the two audience samples differ in size and score. A critics' rating of 4.8 from 55 reviews places professional assessment above the larger IMDb audience figure but below the TMDB score.
