The Prince of Nanawa

This documentary follows Angel over a decade, beginning when he is ten years old. Set on a busy footbridge between Paraguay and Argentina, the story takes place in an environment where people trade various goods using a combination of Spanish and Guarani. The film tracks Angel as he grows up and faces pivotal decisions regarding his future. It utilizes a mix of footage, including diaries filmed by Angel himself and recordings made during his meetings with the director.

Clarisa Navas wrote and directed the film, which is her second feature following Today Match at 3 from 2017. The production was a collaboration between companies from Argentina, Colombia, Germany, and Paraguay, including INCAA and Gentil. The project was produced by Sofia Paoli Thorne, Eugenia Campos Guevara, and Jerónimo Atehortúa Arteaga. Released on June 19, 2026, the film has a total runtime of 212 minutes.
