Spin Me Round

Amber manages an American chain of Italian restaurants, and when she wins a place in the company's training program in Italy, she expects a glamorous, romantic trip. Instead, the journey turns into disorder and disaster. Alison Brie plays Amber, with Aubrey Plaza, Alessandro Nivola, Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and Tricia Helfer among the cast.

Spin Me Round was released in August 2022 and runs 104 minutes. Jeff Baena directed it and wrote the screenplay with Alison Brie; both also produced it alongside Dylan Sellers. It is the fifth film Baena directed, following Life After Beth, Joshy, The Little Hours and Horse Girl. The story was shot in Italy and the United States, and it mixes comedy with romance.

Reception was mixed. On IMDb the film holds 5.2 out of 10 from roughly 6,800 votes, and on TMDB it has 4.9 out of 10 from about 128 votes. A critics' score of 5.4 out of 10, drawn from 87 reviews, sits close to those audience figures, suggesting neither viewers nor reviewers were won over. The low vote count on TMDB compared with IMDb also indicates a fairly modest audience footprint.
