Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie follows what happens when the underwater town of Bikini Bottom is lifted out of the ocean. Sandy Cheeks, the scientific squirrel, and her friend SpongeBob SquarePants head to Texas in an attempt to rescue their home and the residents who live there. The film is an animated family adventure comedy from Nickelodeon Movies.

Liza Johnson directed, working from a screenplay by Kaz and Tom Stern. It is the fourth feature she has directed, following Return, Hateship Loveship and Elvis & Nixon. The voice cast returns several longtime performers from the series: Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy, Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick, Mr. Lawrence as Plankton and Rodger Bumpass as Squidward, among twenty-two credited cast members. Robert Engelman and Jack Petrik produced.

The film runs eighty-seven minutes and was released on October 1, 2024. Its reported budget and worldwide box office are both around 100 million dollars. On IMDb it holds a rating of 3.6 out of 10 from roughly 4,600 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.1 out of 10 from about 190 votes, a much smaller and markedly more favourable sample.
