Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is an animated action fantasy film in which Earthrealm's defenders face an ultimatum from the warlord Shao Kahn. When his Outworld forces threaten the realm, Lord Raiden and his fighters must enter a decisive tournament whose outcome will settle the fate of their home; losing means losing everything. Among those taking part are Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs, who meet Outworld's most dangerous warriors head-on.

The film was released in 2021 and runs eighty minutes. Ethan Spaulding directed it, working from a screenplay by Jeremy Adams, with Rick Morales producing. It followed Spaulding's earlier animated DC and Scooby-Doo titles as well as Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, and it was later followed by Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match. The voice cast includes Jennifer Carpenter, Joel McHale, Jordan Rodrigues, Ike Amadi, Patrick Seitz and Bayardo De Murguia.

Ratings sit at a moderate level on IMDb, while the smaller audience sample on TMDB rates it more highly, a pattern common among fan-oriented animated adaptations. The production was handled by Warner Bros. Animation.
