Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire is a science fiction action adventure set on a remote moon, where a farming community lives under the shadow of the Motherworld, an oppressive interstellar power. When the Motherworld's soldiers arrive and threaten the village, a mysterious outsider named Kora becomes its most capable defender. She sets out to gather warriors willing to stand against the invaders, turning a local struggle for survival into something larger. The film was directed by Zack Snyder, who wrote the screenplay with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten, and Snyder produced it with Eric Newman and Wesley Coller. It is the twelfth of the fifteen films Snyder has directed, following Army of the Dead and preceding Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver.
