Superhost

Teddy and Claire are travel vloggers who run a channel called Superhost, reviewing the places they stay and the experiences they have along the way. Their subscriber count has been slipping, so when they book a country rental and meet Rebecca, the host, her eccentric and overbearing manner looks like the content they need. What begins as an odd but promising stay turns unsettling, as it becomes clear that Rebecca's willingness to please her guests goes far beyond ordinary hospitality.

Brandon Christensen directed and wrote the film, and produced it with Kurtis David Harder. It is the third of six features he has directed, following Still/Born and Z and preceding The Puppetman, Night of the Reaper and Bodycam. Sara Canning plays Claire and Osric Chau plays Teddy, with Gracie Gillam as Rebecca. Barbara Crampton and Jeff Butcher appear as Vera and Lou.

Released in 2021, the film runs 83 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from around 5,400 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 5.8 from roughly 200 votes. A critics' score of 6.4 from 27 reviews places it somewhat above the audience scores, which suggests reviewers responded to it more warmly than general viewers did.
