Earth's Greatest Enemy examines the impact of the United States military on the environment, identifying the institution as the largest institutional polluter globally. The film explores how military expansion and operations contribute to global warming and the poisoning of ecosystems. To support these claims, the documentary features accounts from scientists, veterans, and people living in affected areas, ranging from contaminated domestic bases and foreign battlefields to the melting glaciers of Alaska.
This is the first of two feature documentaries directed by Abby Martin, who also appears in the film as herself. It was produced in the United States by The Empire Files. The documentary has a runtime of 120 minutes.
