Me Time

Sonny Fisher is a stay-at-home father whose wife, Maya, an architect, earns the family's income and travels often for work. When Maya takes the children away on a trip, Sonny suddenly has free time for the first time in years. He spends part of it on the golf course and at a barbecue restaurant before reconnecting with Huck Dembo, an old friend with a taste for partying. Huck's birthday celebration turns into an unpredictable weekend that pulls Sonny far outside his usual routines. Kevin Hart plays Sonny, Mark Wahlberg plays Huck, and Regina Hall plays Maya; John Hamburg wrote the screenplay and directs.

Hamburg also produced the film with Kevin Hart and Bryan Smiley. Me Time is the fifth feature Hamburg directed, arriving after Why Him? (2016) and followed by Focker-in-Law (2026), and it continues his work in broad comedy. Hart's own production company, HartBeat Productions, was involved alongside Particular Pictures, and the film runs 105 minutes.

Audience response was modest: on IMDb it holds 5.1 out of 10 from roughly 45,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 out of 10 from about a thousand votes. A critics' rating of 3.4 out of 10, drawn from 70 reviews, sits below both audience figures, putting the film's strongest support among general viewers rather than professional reviewers. More than fifty performers are credited in the cast.
