Short description

Hayley and James are university students who have been together for a few months and are heading home for the holidays. At a London station on Christmas Eve, each says goodbye to the other and boards a train to their own family. Almost at the same moment, both change their minds and switch to the other's train, hoping to surprise their partner. Because they pass each other without noticing, neither realises the swap has happened. Snow then disrupts the rail network, leaving each of them stranded with the other's family, surrounded by strangers who know nothing about them.

The film is a British romantic comedy directed by Jim O'Hanlon, written by Tom Parry and produced by Kate Heggie. It follows O'Hanlon's earlier feature 100 Streets and precedes two later films, Your Christmas or Mine 2 and Fackham Hall. Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk play James and Hayley, with Angela Griffin, Daniel Mays, Harriet Walter and Alex Jennings among the supporting cast of twenty-two credited performers.

It was released in December 2022 and runs 94 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.4 from around 12,000 votes, and on TMDB it also scores 6.4, from roughly 217 votes. The two audience ratings agree closely, indicating a modest but steady reception for the film.
