This documentary follows a filmmaker born in Tunisia to a Sicilian mother and an Algerian father. The narrative explores the intersection of these three cultures, examining a history that includes Algerian ancestors from the era of Ifriqiya and Sicilian grandparents who arrived during a large wave of labor migration a century ago. The film centers on a personal journey to reconnect with Sicilian family members who have been living in exile across France and Italy for sixty years.
Directed by Rim Temimi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Anas Saadi, the film was produced by Nomadis Images in Tunisia. Released on June 3, 2021, the production has a runtime of 86 minutes.
