Troubled Minds

Two brothers, Robert and Martin, prepare for the most significant art exhibition of their careers. In an effort to find inspiration, Martin isolates himself inside a black cube. Following this experience, the pair enters a chaotic series of events that blur the distinction between artistic creativity and mental instability. Their journey involves encounters with Saami shamans and periods spent in a psychiatric ward and a prison.

This Latvian drama was co-directed by Raitis Ābele and Lauris Ābele, who previously collaborated on Baltic Tribes in 2018 and later worked together on Dog of God in 2025. The screenplay was written by the directors along with Zanda Zeidaka.
