That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond

Rimuru Tempest, a slime who rose to become a Demon Lord, travels with his companions to Raja, a small nation west of his own realm, where a long-standing conspiracy centres on a mysterious power held by the country's queen. There he meets Hiiro, an Ogre who survived the destruction of his people and who turns out to be the brother of Rimuru's follower Benimaru. The reunion draws Rimuru and his allies into the intrigue surrounding Raja's throne, testing the ties between them.

The film is a theatrical entry in the series that began with the story of Mikami Satoru, an office worker stabbed to death at random and reborn in another world as a slime, and it stands as the second feature directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, following Macross Frontier: The False Songstress in 2009 and preceding That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea in 2026. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Miho Okasaki as Rimuru, Makoto Furukawa as Benimaru, Megumi Toyoguchi as Raphael, Tomoaki Maeno as Verudora, Sayaka Senbongi as Shuna and Mao Ichimichi as Shion, among 21 credited cast members and 143 credited crew.

Released in November 2022, the film took about 15 million dollars worldwide. Audiences are broadly favourable: it holds 6.9 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 3,000 votes and 7.4 out of 10 on TMDB from a smaller number of votes.
