Strange World

Strange World follows the Clades, a family of explorers whose internal disagreements put their most important expedition at risk. They travel into an uncharted and hazardous region populated by strange creatures and plant life, a journey that places particular demands on fourteen-year-old Ethan. The adventure is a Walt Disney Animation Studios production.

Don Hall directed the film, his fourth feature after Winnie the Pooh, Big Hero 6, and Raya and the Last Dragon. Qui Nguyen wrote the screenplay, Roy Conli produced, and the voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, Lucy Liu, and Alan Tudyk. It runs 102 minutes.

Released in November 2022, the film had a reported budget of 180 million dollars and earned about 74 million dollars worldwide, a result well short of its cost. On IMDb it holds 5.7 out of 10 from roughly 50,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from a much smaller number of ratings. A critics' score of 6.3 from 169 reviews places it slightly above the audience figure on IMDb and close to the TMDB average.
